PRE-ORDER: Long Caribou Hide Earrings

This is a pre-order option with an expected delivery date of November 20th, 2022. Each piece I make is unique as the material vary in colour, pattern and shape. The image is to give you an idea of what to expect but these one of kind earrings are made with some special and rare materials. 

• I traditionally tanned the caribou hide and cut long strips of it to make these ultra light earrings.
• The hide is threaded through a muskox horn piece that was hand sanded and polished. 
• The ear wire is handmade with sterling silver. 
• These statement earrings are extremely light and are comfortable to wear everyday. They have a light scent of spruce smoke from the tanning process.
• This piece of art was inspired by traditional Gwich'in caribou outfits
• I will contact when I’m about to add the beads to the caribou to decide which colours you prefer for your pair.

 

• Average Size: 25 to 30 centimetres long and about 2.5 cm wide.
• Average Weight: 3-5 grams per earring.
