Beaded, Caribou Tufting and Muskox Horn Earrings

These earrings are beaded on moose hide, using vintage Italian white heart  purple beads and vintage opal white-greyish French bead. The back of the earring is caribou hide, and the edging is made with Czech sterling silver electroplated cut beads.

These earrings are made from caribou hair that has been dyed and tufted on moosehide. A muskox horn drop it attached to the beadwork, this rare material has beautiful natural motifs that catch the eye.

Muskox horn is a beige colour the white inclusion makes this pair of earrings so special.

No two cuts from the horn can create the same motifs so each piece is unique.

These ear hooks are handmade with sterling silver ear wire.
Each weigh less than 5 grams for your comfort.

The muskox is a powerful animal that is found in the Arctic. The horn are supplied by sustainable harvesters from remote northern communities of Canada. The horns can be found on the land or are remnants from a hunt that fed a community.
